Tenterden and District Chamber of Commerce (TDCC) is the trading name of TDCC Limited, a private company limited by guarantee, which encourages membership of businesses in the area covered by Tenterden and its surroundings, including the villages of Appledore, Benenden, Bethersden, Biddenden, Ebony, Newenden, Rolvenden, Sandhurst, Smarden, Sissinghurst, Stone, Wittersham and Woodchurch.

TDCC exists to promote the sustainable economic development of this area and to provide a collective voice for the area's business. It is managed by a management committee elected by its members.

The Chamber is a member of the Ashford & Tenterden Tourism Association. The ATTA holds a directory of all the great things on offer in the borough Visit their website at www.visitashfordandtenterden.co.uk

The Chamber has a reciprocal arrangement whereby members may attend each other's events. We are always pleased to see WBG members attend some of our networking and educational sessions, although few if any of our members attend WBG, apart from those who are members of both groups. WBG holds breakfast events each Wednesday at 7am at Little Silver Country Hotel, often with an interesting guest speaker. Zoe Cairns will be visiting Tenterden again on Wednesday morning 5th April 2022. Numbers of Chamber members have taken benefit from her expert knowledge on previous occasions. Now, following the crisis caused by the recent pandemic, Zoe is able to meet us again. Zoe provides consultancy regarding social media strategy, implementation, management and measurement. At our breakfast meeting, she will provide insight about popular social media platforms and how to make them work effectively for Chamber members’ businesses. Members usually have numbers of interesting questions for her, and if demanded, we will arrange further sessions with her. The Chamber provides this event as a membership benefit. However, we will require a refundable deposit of £20 for each attendee to attempt to prohibit catering waste. Pay now. Receive a full refund, once you participate. No participation, no refund! The Chamber promotes and supports the Tenterden Card. Chamber members (and others) provide offers for cardholders. The Card costs £1 to buy from numbers of businesses in and around Tenterden and St Michaels. Validity is life long. The cost of £1 may frequently be recouped when first taking advantage of a member's offer(s). The Tenterden Card Co-ordinator will undertake tasks that include liaising with supporting businesses, the distribution of cards and application forms, collection of the former and co-ordination of members' offers and their publicity.

The Chamber arranges various events for its members. Normally these events take place monthly, although recently the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented this. Events sometimes take the form of networking meetings, where members may meet each other informally after work to exchange pleasantries, views and ideas, and whereby businesses may realise mutual benefit. Networking meetings are often held at a member's premises and at other social venues. On other occasions, events take the form of educational briefings and workshops. These events are held usually over breakfast in a central Tenterden location. The Networking and Education Co-ordinator's tasks will include planning networking events with member businesses, booking venues for the delivery of educational briefings and workshops, arranging and liaising with guest speakers, and publicising the events to members.
