Our Rooms

William Caxton born in Tenterden in 15th Century was a merchant, diplomat and writer. He is also thought to be the first person to introduce a printing press to England. Our rooms have been named in honour of William and his trade. There are 6 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms:-

The Author’s Suite is in the oldest part of this 600 year old building, with oak beams, luxurious bed, wood burning stove. Ideal for collecting any thoughts and ideas for that next best seller. It has the benefit of a luxurious copper bath with Oast & Rye Toiletries to soak your cares away.

The Copywriters feels rather luxurious, thanks to the rich colours and textured fabrics and the King Sized Bed that has been chosen purely for comfort. This room has an ensuite shower room.

The Proofing Room and all its finery sits at the front of the property with quirky beds lamps, a lovely bay window to curl up next to and ensuite shower room. There are many books that if you wish to proof read whilst staying here.. please do!

The Book Binders with ensuite bathroom. Texture is a recurrent element in this room and with plenty of velvet and paper books to enjoy during your stay. Large ensuite shower room with luxurious toiletries from Oast & Rye.

The Printers Block is quiet and private, thanks to its tucked away perch at the back of the Inn with a large walk in shower and luxurious toiletries from Oast &Rye. Overlooking the walled garden the neighbouring roofs.
